Kaldi Kohi, Costco, Brazilian Market – these are some of the international stores that I am deeply grateful for. Couscous, cheese, mango and other high percentage fruit juices, fresh plain bread rolls, beef stock, fine coconut, nutella and other treats are not so far away. 3r3x5x

Recently I picked up a cake box from the Brazilian store that looked to die for: crumbly chocolate base with goey chocolate filling. The instructions were in Portuguese, but I figured that’s got to be easier than kanji. Enter google translate. Now having taught English for going on three years I was prepared for some rather interesting answers, but I was still impressed with what came out:

‘Durante esse periodo a massa irá crescer e depois “afundar” no meio.’ =
During this period the earth will grow and then “sink” in the middle.

That’s some hard-core cake. Luckily there were no earth shaking moments and the cake turned out super chocolate goodness.

Illustrations on packaging are very important. Thank you to whoever designed this cake box.
